The three Puzzle it Out books offer a variety of motivating word puzzles and games. The Puzzle it Out books appeal to a wide age range, from the very young to older pupils who are still having problems with phonics. They can be used alongside any phonic programme. Phonic Ladders consists of puzzles to practise phonics and is a useful addition to any structured phonics scheme. Each page has a ladder puzzle where the pupil changes letters to make new words. They focus on the phonemic and morphological principles which govern word construction. The series is suitable for a wide age range.
